Boca Helping Hands (BHH), a community-based 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1998 by a group of local religious congregations, provides food, medical, and financial assistance to meet basic human needs as well as education, job training, and guidance to create self-sufficiency.
At Care Purchasing Services (CPS), corporate social responsibility is an important initiative, and CPS has worked with Boca Helping Hands in the past years serving lunch to members of the community and experiencing the impact BHH makes on a daily basis. When the organization wanted to replace its outdated flooring in their dining and kitchen areas, they called on Care Purchasing Services to secure partner vendor Sherwin Williams to replace the epoxy flooring at a reduced cost. In order to minimize disruptions during the weekday lunch program, Sherwin Williams was able to complete the project over two weekends, and Boca Helping Hands has been very happy with the results.
